We found a new place in Kapolei! Just Tacos Mexican Grill. They don’t have a web site yet, but I did find some reviews and most were very happy with their visit. Wonderful $5 Margarita’s!

This place is just inside Ko Olina, a small strip mall. Once you are through the guard gate, turn left at the first street. It is on the left corner as you turn. Free parking.

This location has only been open a few weeks and each time I’ve been, it’s been busy. What a great idea opening up at Ko Olina. The decor is nice and the staff are super friendly.

I like the salsa and they bring out a hot and a mild. Their margaritas are very good and large. They have a huge selection of tequilas and the manager on duty seemed very knowledgeable in them.

One word…Molcajete! You MUST try this dish. It’s beef, chicken and shrimp in a bowl of melted, gooey, yummy cheese. I will say it again…You MUST try this dish.
I’ve tried other things on the menu and they are good but I feel like I’m cheating on the molcajete.
So no mas. You had me at hello.

Recently opened (early June ‘10), this Just Tacos is located across the street from the JW Marriott Resort & Spa in the new “Ko Olina Station” shopping center (the map has it a little further inside the resort).

The menu selections were typical mexican fare (tacos, burritos, nachos etc), but they have a little spin on each of them to add some flavor and style. I had the “3 tacos” with the marinated beef, marinated pork, and shrimp – all were good, although the pork was the best.

The drinks were great too – besides a healthy stock of draft and bottled beer, I selected one of the classic margaritas which was definately big on taste (i.e., tequilla). A true party-drink is the 60oz (that’s 5xbeers for those needed a quick reference) margarita that’s guaranteed to get everyone “socially lubricated”
