Q. How often are events scheduled?
A. We offer at least two event a month. More events may be added as our membership grows.
Q. Do I have to be a member to attend?
A. No you do not. However, there is an additional $20 fee per event, and you may attend a maximum of three events as a non-member. Members may bring a guest but must contact us directly to bring a guest.
Q. What is the dress code?
A. There is no established dress code. Some functions will be more casual and others will be more formal. Please use your best judgment and dress appropriate to the venue. You may wish to call the event location if you have questions about the facility type.
Q. Do you allow smoking?
A. With the current emphasis on smoke-free environments, we do not allow smoking at the events.
Q. Is there a code of conduct?
A. Yes. We reserve the right not to renew a membership at its expiration date or terminate any membership at any time for rude, unprofessional, or unruly conduct.
Q. Are alcoholic beverages served?
A. Members may purchase alcoholic beverages of their choice at most all events. This way, people who do not drink won’t feel as though they’re paying for others alcoholic beverages. Periodically, wine will be served and included in the price of the event; this will be clearly stated in the event description.
Q. Will I feel at ease attending Single Gourmet Hawaii?
A. A Single Gourmet Hawaii host is always in attendance to greet members and introduce them to one another. You will find the majority of the members to be quite friendly. Most of our members come by themselves, but members may bring a guest if they choose.
Q. How do I make reservations for an event?
A. Simply find the event you want to attend. Then contact SGHI to make reservations.
Q. How do I pay for an event?
A. You can RSVP online for the event you wish to attend. The fees will be paid by check or at the door. The fee is $7 for members, and $20 for non-members. Be sure to ask us about members bringing guests. Please plan to pay the actual cost of your meal, drinks, and tip directly to the establishment at the event. Costs typically run around $50 per person. Single Gourmet Hawaii will make all of the arrangements for you!
