Aloha! I am Dorothy Mack, owner of Single Gourmet Hawaii.
Your interest in The Single Gourmet Hawaii is sincerely appreciated. Our goal is simple: we provide a great way for single men and women to get together for an evening of Fun, Friends and most of all Fine Dining at the best restaurants in Hawaii.
We handle everything! We have found that single people like the convenience of a restaurant with the conversation and warmth of a dinner party. Sure, you could eat at any of these restaurants on your own, but we do all the research and planning, provide a network of new dining opportunities, and give you a chance to meet people with similar interests. Plus, we have a Host on hand at each event just to make sure everything works out well! You can join for a 3 or 12 month Membership.
We are a Fine Dining Club for single people. We are neither matchmakers nor a dating service. Love, however, is sometimes on the menu!
For your 3 or 12 month membership fee, you will receive our monthly newsletter and you will have the privilege of attending any or all events on a space available basis.
The Single Gourmet Hawaii will plan several events each month. A typical evening begins with your arrival between 6:30 and 7:00 pm to mingle prior to dinner. The size of the group ranges from a small gathering of 15 people to a large group of 60 to 70 people. We generally attract business and professional single men and women in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.
The multi-course menus are previously arranged by SGHI and offer a choice of entrees. You RSVP to The Single Gourmet Hawaii; there is a $5 fee for members, and $20 fee for non-members and guests. The price of the dinner, tax, and tip are paid directly to the establishment at the event. Prices can range from just under $50.00 to more than $90.00, however the average price has been around $65.00. Alcohol may be purchased on your own personal tab. We plan for a variety in the style and cuisine of the events, and we welcome your suggestions and recommendations. We will be going to the newest, hottest spots as well as the classic favorites.
An additional benefit of your membership with The Single Gourmet Hawaii is that it is reciprocated between chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada. If you travel, you can dine with singles in most major cities using your Single Gourmet Hawaii membership privileges.
